You know that saying that if you believe in yourself anything is possible, well I have adopted that principle to adulthood. As you are all (not) aware that I turned 22!! a week ago, and since I realised that in all my pretence to be an adult, I have fully embraced, unwillingly if I might add, all the trappings of the adulthood thing.
No matter how old I get, I would still HATE shopping
I can do my laundry the way I WANT IT
Sleep is MY new BEST FRIEND
I tried beer and it isn’t Horrible
Best of all,
I am perfectly content with where I am right now – I am still broke, single and looking for a graduate job BUT my birthday this year was the best because I was on the right path. I actually realised that despite what my undergraduate lecturer and the HR woman from the bank which shall not be mentioned, I am SMART, BEAUTIFUL and will be SUCCESSFUL (in Investment Banking – my internship reference proves it)!
In other news, i almost like a boy and no longer mind taking pictures – enjoy

I was just asked if I sometimes wished I could go turn back the hands of time…honestly, I didn’t have to think much to say a not so subtle NO. I know it sounds crazy but most people want to rewind time and relive their glory days but I honestly don’t remember having Glory days.
The concept in itself is strange to me. High School glory days = nil. I was smart but not the smartest or the most popular. I pretty much flunked university and don’t have a graduate job lined up. I really don’t see why I would want to relive those days . I don’t even want to relive the last 2 weeks of my life.
So why would you rewind time when you have time in the future to live the way you want to live. If your glory days were so glorious, relish in the fact that you can recreate them – maybe even to greater heights. If like me you didn’t have glory days, then make them happy because life, long or short, isn’t waiting for you to make a decision.
I think people need to realise that the moment you arrive in a time-specific place, time moves. it doesn’t wait for you to relish and relive those days in the past. So no matter how many times you turn back the hands of time, it will move back to the your present/future
Someone just shared this with me on Facebook and I have to say I totally and utterly agree with the whole strip. I mean, can’t a guy JUST be nice for being nice sake….but that is a story for another.
by the way, my internet is killing me and seems to die every time i want to do something important like blog or an online numerical test to get a summer internship. anyways enjoy ans share.
Friendzoners vs Nice Guy (this is not my property)
You would think eating broccoli is not a big deal (once you’re over the age of 10 that is) but when you are someone who convinced herself at the age of 4 that they were evil then using an episode of powerpuff girls as evidence it is in fact a HUGE deal. In the 21 years of my existence, I do not remember consciously or unconsciously eating any form of broccoli – and boy did they try to get into my system in tasty quiche form.
Well, the moral of the story is that it is never too late to try something that terrifies you! You may look silly doing it, you may even not recognise yourself doing it BUT boy would you be smiling when you’ve got a new achievement under your belt – no one can call you crazy for being brave
